Sign2Learn will be at this year's EECERA Conference to showcase the highly successful 'Oral Storytelling Project' produced in partnership with Luton Borough Council.
Luton Borough Council and Sign2Learn have worked with local teaching professionals and Sign Language professionals to develop this set of 'Sign a Story' materials.
The materials in this pack will enable teachers to learn simple signs taken from British Sign Language to teach story telling and sequencing words and to confidently apply this successful method in their own setting.
 
This comprehensive pack consists of:
 

·         DVD with the two stories modelled (Gingerbread man/ Goldilocks).  Includes

          - footage from a classroom setting,

          - songs to reinforce both stories and

          - a 'test your vocabulary' section

 

·        Poster with Story telling signs for a variety of stories and daily interactions

 

·        Story cards with words and signs

 

·         Finger puppets to support the application of the story language in children’s free play.
